Overview In this role you will take ownership of high-exposure submissions, refining risk selection and pricing while strengthening relationships with agents and reinsurers. You will review complex submissions, profitability, and models to drive quality and growth. You collaborate with cross-functional partners to expand submissions and maintain a profitable book of business. Responsibilities- Analyze, evaluate, accept, decline, rate, quote, and bind high-exposure submissions
- Strengthen relationships with agents, reinsurers, and contacts
- Review complex submissions, losses, pricing models, and profitable premiums
- Assess sources of profit by selecting appropriate risks
- Participate in special projects as needed
Key requirements- Ability to apply analytical methods in underwriting to find workable solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication of findings and recommendations
- Proficiency with software to summarize and analyze large data sets
- Understanding of risk operations and thorough underwriting file maintenance
- Ability to prepare and complete underwriting analyses of accounts
- Experience with handling complex risks and higher authority levels
