Overview In this role you will lead architectural work for Java/J2EE solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable web applications. You will design and optimize backend components, leveraging JEE ecosystems and content management technologies. You'll engage with customers and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust architectures, driving performance and reliability at scale. This contract position offers hands-on leadership in a dynamic, project-driven environment that values engineering excellence and clear communication.
Responsibilities- Provide hands-on architectural leadership for JEE-based solutions
- Design architectures using Java, JSP, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate, and Struts
- Leverage JAX-RS (Jersey), JAX-WS, JAXB, and JMX frameworks in solutions
- Perform performance and memory analysis, JVM tuning, and backend optimization
- Work with DBs (Oracle, SQL Server) and ensure efficient SQL usage
- Experience with JBOSS and WebLogic in deployment environments
- Develop and deliver multi-tier, web-based applications
- Communicate effectively with distributed teams and take on leadership responsibilities
Key requirements- Total experience > 10 years in customer-facing roles
- Hands-on architect with solid Java/J2EE expertise
- Strong Java stack: JSP, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate, Struts
- Experience with JAX-RS, JAX-WS, JAXB, JMX
- Performance tuning and JVM optimization skills
- SQL proficiency with Oracle and/or SQL Server
- Experience with JBOSS and WebLogic
- Ability to develop n-tier web applications
