Overview In this role you will manage billing and expense operations for client and fund fee processes, collaborating with cross-functional partners. You will oversee monthly and quarterly deliverables, fee calculations, and performance fee allocations while maintaining strong controls and timely invoicing. You will drive process improvements and support system enhancements through hands-on execution. As an individual contributor at manager level, you will lead with hands-on execution and coordinate across teams to enhance efficiency and risk management.
Responsibilities- Provide guidance on client invoicing and fund-level management and performance fee calculations
- Review fee calculations, allocations, and supporting financial data
- Support implementation and enhancement of operational processes and procedures
- Coordinate and manage workflows for monthly and quarterly deliverables
- Evaluate systems, processes, and reporting for efficiency and effectiveness
- Coordinate testing of system or process enhancements and communicate results
- Provide functional expertise, problem resolution, analysis, and reporting across billing and expense activities
- Ensure deliverables are completed within timelines and in accordance with policies and controls
- Identify risks and ensure appropriate controls are in place and operating effectively
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and drive operational efficiency
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with relevant experience
- Strong experience in alternative fund accounting (private equity or hedge funds)
- Experience with management and performance fee calculations and partner allocations
- Public accounting (audit) background preferred
- Experience with Geneva preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to operate independently in a hands-on role while contributing to team initiatives
