Overview

In this role you will lead cost management for large-scale data center projects in Northern Virginia, guiding multi-project programs and client relationships. You'll work with cross-functional teams to ensure cost discipline and timely reporting, shaping project outcomes and commercial success. The position blends leadership, technical cost control, and strategic delivery across high-value programs. This is a client-facing opportunity to influence major data-center buildouts and drive improvements in project controls.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cost management delivery across large-scale programs and multiple projects
  • Interface with clients, stakeholders, and consultants at all stages
  • Perform quantity surveying, cost control, and change management throughout the lifecycle
  • Coordinate with contractors, owners, and stakeholders to align construction processes
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and monitor KPIs and internal controls
  • Mentor and develop team members and conduct performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and delivery methodologies
  • Support business development and contribute to proposals and RFP responses
  • Provide leadership updates on project status, staffing, and risk plans
  • Lead internal and external audit processes related to quality and compliance
  • Identify and implement improvements to cost management processes and tools
  • Build relationships with clients and cross-functional teams
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in cost management within large-scale construction
  • Experience leading teams and multi-project programs
  • Data center or mission-critical construction experience preferred
  • Consultancy experience preferred
  • RICS certification or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen, contract knowledge, and cost control expertise
