Overview

In this role, you will support Adobe's Ethics and Compliance Office with trade compliance and anticorruption guidance, helping product and business teams meet global regulations. You will collaborate across Adobe to deliver practical, tech-enabled compliance solutions and manage complex regulatory matters. You'll shape policy through advisory work, training, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on, globally oriented role that combines legal analysis with business-focused risk management and problem solving.

Responsibilities
  • Advise product teams on global trade regulations, including sanctions, export controls, customs, and supply chain rules
  • Provide day-to-day trade and anticorruption compliance guidance and monitor regulatory trends
  • Support and develop automation for restricted party screening controls and processes
  • Draft and negotiate terms on strategic trade and anticorruption aspects of complex commercial agreements
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships to identify and address trade and antibribery/anticorruption risks
  • Contribute to due diligence and integration activities for mergers and acquisitions
  • Deliver training on trade compliance to sales, product, engineering, and legal teams
  • Handle regulatory inquiries and filings with U.S. and other agencies as needed
  • Advise on other compliance matters as they arise
Key requirements
  • Law degree/JD
  • 3-5 years of legal experience advising on U.S. economic sanctions and export control laws and other compliance regulations
  • Experience advising multinational tech companies on non-U.S. trade laws (EU/UK sanctions and export control regimes)
  • Experience translating complex regulations into actionable guidance for business teams
  • Effective communicator who can translate complex regulations for business and compliance teams
  • Self-starter able to operate independently in a dynamic global environment
  • Approachable and flexible with a good sense of humor
  • Interest in developing and using technology in legal practice
  • Automation in compliance processes
  • Restricted party screening processes and controls
