Overview As Market Technical Manager, you oversee technical, telecom, security, and MEP systems across the Market property portfolio, ensuring operations run to standard. You will audit sites, coordinate multi-site activities, and guide construction and commissioning activities to meet acceptance criteria. This role focuses on shell-level inspections and project supervision, with broad exposure to turn-key and central plant systems. You'll work with cross-functional teams to improve operating standards and drive efficiency within a global data center platform.

Responsibilities- Conduct facility site visits to audit status and lead operations and engineering teams to follow established procedures
- Perform periodic audits of maintenance MOPs and equipment SOPs for quality and conformity with standards
- Audit site Change Management activities and validate information and documentation quality
- Collect and report site operating metrics to monitor performance and efficiency
- Coordinate major activities across sites and track outstanding issues to resolution
- Support construction, testing and commissioning of new data centers to meet operational criteria
- Contribute to facility improvement measurement plans including savings estimates and cost data
- Coordinate sales, design & construction and onsite engineering for customer-aligned system installations
- Develop operating standards, processes, rules and regulations
- Review drawings and conduct site surveys to identify MEP and facility characteristics
- Manage relationships with customers, property management and sales teams
- Assist in developing and reviewing standards for AC/DC power installations
- Manage construction projects between internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee online project updates and assist in monthly management reporting
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree plus at least 10 years of related experience, or 15 years of data center experience in lieu of a degree
- Expertise in operations of critical MEP infrastructure (UPS, emergency generators, cooling systems, CRAC/air handlers, electrical distribution)
- Strong understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations and their limitations
- Deep knowledge of multi-tenant data center environment and critical environment management
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and estimate installation costs
- Skilled in interpreting AutoCAD and Visio project documents
- Capacity to analyze problems with limited information and propose solutions
- Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities
- Excellent verbal/written communication for sensitive issues and customer interactions
- Experience developing operating and maintenance standards and project tracking documents
- Familiarity with laws/ordinances affecting data, communications and MEP projects
- Leadership to guide and coach team members
