Overview You will perform desk and on-site audits of daycare programs, analyze attendance and financial data, and prepare documentation to support findings. Responsibilities- Conduct desk reviews and on-site audits independently with supervision
- Research compliance with USDA and other government program regulations
- Perform all phases of the audit (planning, fieldwork, reporting, etc.)
- Review federal and state policies related to audits
- Prepare working papers documenting scope and findings
- Demonstrate strong communication, analysis, and process improvement
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information
- Maintain thorough electronic documentation
- Additional duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Experience with health and human service program auditing (preferred)
- CPA or CPA candidate (preferred)
- Internship or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well-organized with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word)
