Overview In this role, you will serve as a central histology resource supporting multiple Obesity, Metabolism and Muscle Diseases programs. You will manage end-to-end tissue processing, staining, IHC/IF, ISH and image analysis to deliver high-quality data on schedule. You'll develop and optimize protocols, maintain rigorous records, and communicate capacity and timelines to stakeholders. The position combines hands-on technical work with collaboration across teams to support internal reports and publications. You will contribute to impactful metabolic and muscle disease research within Regeneron's fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities- Process and prepare tissue samples across multiple tissues (liver, heart, brain, muscle, adipose)
- Perform routine and special histological staining (H&E, Sirius Red, PAS, Oil Red O)
- Conduct IHC/IF and optimize protocols, antibody titrations, and antigen retrieval
- Apply ISH/RNAscope for gene expression localization as needed
- Operate whole-slide imaging systems and manage image data repositories
- Execute quantitative image analysis with HALO or similar tools and develop custom algorithms
- Generate data figures and summaries for internal reports, regulatory packages, and publications
- Maintain workload tracker and flag capacity constraints to stakeholders
- Adapt to shifting program priorities and schedules
- Maintain accurate laboratory records
Key requirements- BS with 5+ years or MS with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in standard and special histochemical staining across tissues
- IHC/IF assay development, optimization, troubleshooting experience
- Ability to optimize tissue processing and staining for challenging samples
- Proficiency with whole-slide imaging and digital pathology software (e.g., HALO)
- Experience with ISH platforms (RNAscope, BaseScope, FISH) is a plus
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple stakeholder requests
