Overview In this role you will determine and execute the appropriate cleaning processes for products, using your knowledge of chemicals and cleaning procedures. You will handle cleaning equipment and hazardous materials while maintaining a safe work environment. You will support safety initiatives and collaborate with the team to meet cleaning standards. This position offers hands-on exposure to specialized cleaning operations, water/abrasive blasting, and confined-space work with hazmat gear. You'll contribute to reliable plant operations by ensuring clean, compliant processes and equipment health.
Responsibilities- Determine and complete appropriate cleaning process of product
- Handle and maintain cleaning equipment and materials including hazardous chemicals
- Apply knowledge of chemicals and cleaning procedures for assignment
- Operate/maintain/ troubleshoot cleaning equipment and work environment
- Perform cleaning involving water blasting or abrasive blasting
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Work in confined space with full hazmat gear
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Ability to work in confined space with full hazmat gear
- Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:00pm-12:30am) and overtime; possible first shift occasionally
- Experience with cleaning processes and chemical handling
- Familiarity with water or abrasive blasting and equipment operation
