Overview As a Senior - Accounting Methods, you drive tax strategy through accounting method decisions and related research. You'll work within the Federal Tax Strategies team to assess changes, recognize revenue and expenses, and guide filings like Form 3115. Collaborating across the firm, you'll support client projects, mentor staff, and manage multiple initiatives with focus and integrity. Responsibilities- Advise on accounting methods changes and related issues (automatic and non-automatic changes including revenue/expense recognition, inventory, cost recovery, and accounting periods)
- Perform research on accounting methods tax issues to expand expertise
- Participate in accounting methods projects: client interviews, data review, calculations, analysis, and tax form filings
- Collaborate with managers, directors, principals, and industry leaders across marketing and business teams
- Coach or mentor staff to develop skills and careers
- Contribute effectively to multiple projects simultaneously
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of relevant experience
- CPA exam eligible preferred
- Experience in business services, public accounting, or consulting preferred
- Experience in accounting methods preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access preferred
