Overview In this role you will underwrite and grow our contract surety portfolio across the South Region, partnering with agencies to win profitable business. You will manage complex accounts, apply Hanover's surety strategies, and use data to make risk decisions. The role involves coordinating with internal and external resources and maintaining strong agency relationships. You can work hybride/remote within TN, MS, AL, GA, with travel across the territory. You'll operate within The Hanover CARE values to build a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.

Responsibilities- Identify, solicit, and underwrite new Contract Surety accounts to drive profitable growth
- Manage agency, broker, and account meetings and overall workflow
- Apply Hanover's surety strategies and data to assess risks at individual and portfolio levels
- Coordinate with internal and external resources on moderately complex risks
- Maintain and grow an assigned book of business with technical depth
Key requirements- 5-10 years Contract Surety underwriting experience
- 5+ years driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new business and complex accounts
- Fundamental underwriting knowledge and practices
- Strong communication skills to explain decisions clearly
- Willingness to adapt to change and explore new approaches
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- AFSB designation preferred
