Overview In this role you lead the conceptualization, development, and validation of innovative drug delivery platforms for proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids, bridging early discovery and clinical translation. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate insights into formulations for injectable biologics. You will shape strategies for proteins, mAbs, ADCs, and emerging modalities, delivering translationally relevant data and decisions. Responsibilities- Translate insights into novel formulation and drug delivery concepts for injectable biologics
- Apply translational science to assess delivery strategies
- Guide formulation design using protein stability and interfacial behavior principles
- Design and interpret advanced characterization and stability studies
- Incorporate injectability and local tissue interactions into formulation decisions
- Develop in vitro/ex vivo performance models for injectable formulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to align analytical, formulation, process, and delivery perspectives
Key requirements- Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, biophysics, chemical engineering, bioengineering, or related discipline
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong know-how of biologic developability, stability, aggregation, interfacial behavior, and formulation-biologic interactions
- Hands-on experience with formulation screening, stress, and stability studies for biologic products
- Experience applying analytical characterization to link molecular attributes with formulation performance
- Knowledge of injectable drug product development and sterile processing
