Overview In this role, you ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606 and manage related accounting close processes. You'll review contracts and orders, coordinate with Commercial, Legal and Services teams, and process journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses. You will work across departments to support month-end and quarter-end close and assist external auditors. Responsibilities- Review contracts, order forms, and SOWs to align revenue recognition with ASC 606
- Process orders in NetSuite accurately and on deadlines for booking and invoicing
- Coordinate with Services team to review milestones for service revenue recognition
- Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analyses
- Process customer terminations and related credit memos; validate revenue and deferred revenue balances
- Provide information to external auditors and communicate issues to team and management
- Train cross-functionally to provide backup support; handle ad-hoc projects as needed
Key requirements- 2-5 years of experience in accounting, sales operations, or order management in a SaaS environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a detail-oriented setting
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas)
- Knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 for revenue recognition
- Experience with reviewing and entering orders for complex software contracts
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred; CPQ and Avalara desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
