Project Commercial Contracts Manager (site-based, renewables construction)

Overview

In this site-based role you will manage EPC contracts across pre-construction and execution phases, ensuring contractual compliance, risk control, and timely project delivery. You will collaborate with project leadership, Commercial, and Legal teams to monitor terms, draft notices, and coordinate change orders. The role supports on-site leadership to keep projects on time and within budget while fostering strong stakeholder relationships. This opportunity puts you at the heart of renewable energy construction, shaping contract outcomes on major projects.

Responsibilities
  • Administer EPC contracts with the project team and draft notices aligned with contract requirements (e.g., force majeure, delays)
  • Lead contract terms reviews post-award and pre-mobilization with the project team
  • Draft notices to subcontractors and suppliers regarding performance and project execution matters
  • Participate in regular project team meetings and actively engage with the team
  • Advise on contractual changes, monitor changes and claims through to resolution
  • Support administration and closure of insurance claims with project and insurance teams
  • Assist closeout to ensure contractual requirements, certificates, and warranties are met
  • Capture and report contractual lessons learned during project execution and Close Out Phase Gate
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in construction contract management on large, complex projects ($30MM-$150MM)
  • 3+ years using construction management software
  • Strong knowledge of contract requirements, change mechanisms, claims analysis and negotiations, and time impact analyses
  • Experience with Viewpoint, Procore, and Project Controls software
  • Subject-matter expert in contract management principles and techniques
  • Ability to interpret complex contractual provisions
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
