Overview As the owner's representative for Amazon's GES NA Design & Construction, you lead the delivery of built facilities and infrastructure for the logistics network. You oversee the full construction lifecycle across multiple projects, coordinating with developers, contractors, and internal teams. Your focus is on safety, budget, schedule, contracts, and clear stakeholder communication to deliver high-quality facilities. Expect regional travel (up to 60%) with office availability when not traveling and relocation support if needed.

Responsibilities- Act as Amazon's owner and construction integrator across assigned projects
- Manage design through handover for multiple concurrent projects
- Review bids, budgets, and schedules to resolve discrepancies
- Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management
- Negotiate contracts with developers and general contractors
- Audit contractor performance for required competencies
- Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and compliance
- Ensure conformance of construction documents to Amazon standards
- Identify and resolve design conflicts and schedule gaps
- Coach project teams and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle
- Champion safety programs and enforce a safety-first culture
- Maintain transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Assess project performance using KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability
- Support facility transition, turnover documentation, and base building management
- Identify value engineering opportunities with internal partners
- Pursue sustainable, environmentally responsible construction solutions
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related discipline
- 5+ years project management from design to handover
- 5+ years experience negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts
- 5+ years proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
- Willingness to travel up to 60%; valid driver's license
