Overview In this role you will estimate bids for hospitality, healthcare, data centers, and other markets by defining scope from RFPs and drawings, creating quantified take-offs, and developing competitive cost estimates. You'll work independently on small-to-medium projects and collaborate on larger bids, ensuring accuracy and profitability. You'll compare subcontractor bids and address issues proactively, with support from the Chief Estimator. This is a chance to help drive winning proposals in a fast-paced, design-build environment.

Responsibilities- Craft quantified take-offs using Auto Bid Mechanical (formerly Quick Pen) estimating software
- Define scope of work by reviewing RFPs, specs, basis of design and drawings; develop estimates for small-to-medium projects and contribute to larger bids
- Analyze and compare subcontractor/supplier bids and troubleshoot project issues proactively
- Partner with the Chief Estimator to finalize estimate reports and defend the estimate and its accuracy
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management and/or equivalent technical training or experience
- 7-10 years of commercial MEP engineering, project management, plumbing installation, and/or estimating
- Strong knowledge of piping/plumbing/sheet metal design; experience in take-offs; knowledge of industry equipment and system operations
- Quick Pen experience is a plus (Auto Bid Mechanical)
