Overview As Project Manager, you will serve as the owner's representative for corporate real estate and capital improvement initiatives across the Greater Kansas City area. You will lead projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, quality, and stakeholder expectations are met. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors, driving governance, risk management, and value for clients. Responsibilities- Be the primary client-facing advisor throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage multiple capital projects including renovations and facilities improvements
- Lead planning: define scope, budgets, schedules, and procurement strategies
- Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to meet objectives
- Develop and monitor budgets, schedules, forecasts, and status reports
- Identify and mitigate cost, schedule, and quality risks
- Facilitate meetings and communicate status, risks, and milestones to clients and leadership
- Review deliverables, contracts, proposals, schedules, and cost estimates
- Manage change control processes and secure client approvals
- Support construction, occupancy, turnover, and closeout activities
- Build strong client relationships and identify value-add opportunities
- Ensure governance, best practices, and quality standards on all projects
- Support continuous improvement and capture lessons learned across projects
- SOX control responsibilities may apply where relevant
Key requirements- 5+ years of project management experience in commercial real estate, corporate occupier, construction, owner's representative, or consulting environments
- Experience managing capital improvement, workplace, renovation, or facility-related projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and balance competing priorities
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and consultant management
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Procore, or Smartsheet
- PMP, CCM, or similar certification preferred
