Tax Senior Manager, Asset Management

Overview

In this role you will lead tax compliance and advisory for pass-through entities, guiding Asset Management clients within a collaborative, cross-functional team. You'll oversee client portfolios, mentor tax professionals, and ensure high-quality service while contributing to market activities. For Senior Manager, you'll also manage engagement risk, budgeting, and growth opportunities for the tax practice. This role sits at the intersection of expertise, leadership, and business development within a culture that values people and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services for pass-through entities and partnerships to Asset Management clients
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to share industry knowledge and experience
  • Oversee a portfolio of clients and serve as main point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects
  • Advise clients and deliver high-quality tax service and guidance
  • Engage in market and business activities external to the firm
  • Senior Manager: manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets
  • Senior Manager: collaborate with professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the tax practice
Key requirements
  • Minimum five years of pass-through and partnership tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, or law firm
  • Bachelor's degree; Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA (or other approved credentials) with one year to obtain if not possessed at hire
  • Experience with pass-through entities and partnerships
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
  • Senior Manager: minimum eight years of pass-through and partnership tax experience; mentoring staff
