Responsibilities- Prepare wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents
- Advise clients on estate and tax planning strategies
- Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters
- File court documents for probate and administration
- Handle trust and estate litigation including contested probate
- Conduct legal research on complex trust and estate issues
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop tailored estate plans
- Manage client relationships and work both independently and in a team
Key requirements- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- 5+ years of experience in Trusts & Estates law with focus on estate planning, administration, and probate litigation
- Experience drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts; basic understanding of gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes
- Strong knowledge of New York Trusts & Estates laws and procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
