Overview

In this role you will manage complex financial services litigation from inception to resolution, partnering with partners and clients across regulatory and enforcement matters. You will draft substantive pleadings, conduct legal research, and oversee discovery through depositions, supporting trial and arbitration. You will advise on litigation strategy and risk management, collaborating across practice groups in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to a nationally recognized platform and work on sophisticated matters affecting financial institutions and fintech participants.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex litigation and arbitration matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive filings
  • Conduct legal research and analysis involving commercial and regulatory issues
  • Handle all phases of discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions
  • Prepare witnesses and support trial, hearing, and arbitration proceedings
  • Advise clients regarding litigation strategy, risk management, and dispute resolution
  • Work closely with partners and clients on high-stakes financial and regulatory matters
  • Collaborate across practice groups on matters involving financial regulations, enforcement actions, and business disputes
Key requirements
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active New York Bar membership
  • Approximately 5-7 years of litigation experience
  • Strong commercial litigation, motion practice, and deposition experience
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with arbitration proceedings preferred
  • Familiarity with regulated industries, financial institutions, or financial services matters is a plus
  • Ability to independently manage matters while maintaining exceptional client service
