Project Architect - Revit - Architectural and Interiors

Overview

As a Project Architect, you guide projects from programming through construction administration within an award winning architecture, interiors, and planning firm. You collaborate across clients, consultants, and leadership to ensure design integrity, quality, and on time delivery. You'll lead design reviews, manage schedules and budgets, and mentor junior staff while upholding California codes and accessibility standards. This growth phase offers impactful work across diverse project types and a chance to shape outcomes for California communities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through all phases from programming to construction administration
  • Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams
  • Partner with clients, contractors, consultants, and firm leadership
  • Lead project meetings, presentations, and design reviews
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, documentation quality, and deliverables
  • Guide and mentor Job Captains, Designers, and junior staff
  • Support design development while ensuring technical excellence and project execution
  • Ensure compliance with California Building Code, accessibility requirements, and project standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with quality and responsiveness
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • 6+ years of professional architectural experience
  • 2+ years serving as a Project Architect with leadership responsibilities
  • Experience leading projects through full lifecycle (programming to construction administration)
  • Fluent in Revit
  • Strong client, consultant, and internal team management experience
  • Excellent design, presentation, and development skills
  • Project management experience including schedules, budgets, quality control, and coordination
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Mentoring and team leadership abilities
  • Working knowledge of California Building Code and ADA/Accessibility requirements
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp and/or Rhino
