Overview

As a Construction Project Manager at BW Design Group, you drive capital projects in food, beverage, and life sciences manufacturing. You'll work with design teams, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver safe, quality, and cost-effective construction. You'll report on progress, manage risk, and ensure compliance with plans and regulatory standards. This role blends hands-on site leadership with cross-functional collaboration to shape manufacturing projects at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Manage construction projects from inception to close-out across food, beverage, and life science sectors
  • Lead planning, scheduling, resources, budgets, and coordination of construction activities
  • Generate accurate monthly project control reports
  • Oversee subcontractor bidding: bid packages, walks, bid evaluation, and mobilization
  • Review subcontractor contracts for schedule and scope conformity
  • Coordinate subcontractor and supplier requirements to meet project timelines
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and standards
  • Maintain safety, quality, and cost control on site and drive risk management
  • Conduct jobsite planning, progress, and closeout meetings
  • Analyze change requests and manage project safety and regulatory adherence
Key requirements
  • Minimum 12 years in construction roles (project engineer, site superintendent, or construction project manager)
  • At least 8 years as a construction manager with industrial structures experience
  • Experience with industrial projects valued from $50K to $50M
  • Working knowledge of process systems and ability to read P&IDs
  • Contract negotiation and bid preparation experience
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Timberline, AutoCAD, or Revit
  • Understanding of prime contracts including schedules, scopes, budgets, and performance expectations
