Overview In this role you drive strategic sourcing for direct materials, shaping supplier relationships and cost strategies to meet Wieland's performance standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to secure reliable material supply, manage KPIs, and advance digitalization of supplier transactions. The position supports global standard processes and risk-aware procurement to sustain growth and sustainability goals. You'll engage with multiple business units and contribute to value-driven partnerships in a performance-minded culture.

Responsibilities- Establish long-term, cost-competitive supplier relations and coordinate with internal stakeholders across business units
- Monitor KPIs, improve cost and quality performance, and adjust strategies as needed
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for various material groups
- Drive digitalization of supplier interactions and streamline internal processes
- Implement Wieland's global standard procurement process
- Oversee evaluation and approval of new suppliers meeting standards and compliance
Key requirements- B.S. degree in business or technical-related discipline
- 7-10 years procurement experience, preferably in centralized structure
- Ability to travel at least 15% (including international)
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP S4, SAP Ariba)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of strategic category planning, total cost of ownership, and fact-based negotiation
- Expertise in financial modeling, product/category management, supplier analysis, contract management, and supplier relationship management
