Overview In this role you lead the day-to-day operation and improvement of the HRIS landscape, focusing on Oracle HCM and future HR technology solutions. You'll collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and external partners to ensure accurate data, secure access, and reliable integrations across the employee lifecycle. You will shape the future-state HRIS operating model and drive implementation efforts for platform transitions. This is a pivotal, cross-functional leadership role at a university-level organization focused on scalable, compliant HR technology.
Compensation / Benefits Responsibilities- Manage daily administration, maintenance, and support of Oracle HCM and connected HR, payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and workforce platforms
- Set priorities and service standards for issue resolution, requests, audits, and releases
- Maintain configuration, workflows, and documentation to support HR operations
- Oversee integrations among Oracle HCM, ADP, and other vendors; coordinate vendors and consultants
- Lead HRIS strategy, evaluation, implementation, data cleansing, conversion, testing, and stabilization for future platforms
- Develop and maintain an HRIS roadmap; align with compliance and operational needs
- Manage data governance, security, and audits; coordinate with Privacy, IT, Legal, and Compliance
- Lead reporting and analytics; build dashboards and ensure data integrity across systems
- Coach and develop two Senior HRIS Analysts; manage projects, prioritize work, and ensure quality
- Promote disciplined project management, testing, and change controls
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders to translate requirements into system solutions
- Maintain knowledge and capability to reduce external consultant dependence
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible HRIS experience with project or team leadership
- Experience administering a major cloud-based HCM platform; Workday and/or Oracle HCM strongly preferred
- Experience supporting payroll and timekeeping integrations; ADP experience preferred
- Workday HCM and/or Payroll experience strongly preferred (implementation, configuration, integration, or post-production support)
- Experience managing consultants, implementation partners, vendors, and technical deliverables
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong knowledge of HRIS administration, configuration, data structures, reporting, integrations, and security
- Understanding of payroll/timekeeping processes, dependencies, controls, and reconciliation
- Strong problem solving, root-cause analysis, and sustainable solution design
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical info for nontechnical audiences
- Judgment in handling confidential employee data and payroll-related decisions
