Principal Planner (Material Requirements / Supply Chain)

Overview

As Principal Planner, you will align supply chain activities with customer deadlines and contractual commitments to enable reliable manufacturing at a 24/7 Rochester facility. You will drive accurate MRP signals, partner with Operations to remove constraints, and monitor schedules to mitigate delivery risks. You'll extract insights from multiple systems to inform leadership and mentor the Planning team in analytics and Oracle ASCP. This role offers a clear growth path into leadership as the plant scales, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Own critical supply chain deadlines and ensure alignment with customer commitments
  • Improve MRP signal accuracy to support smooth production and inventory flow
  • Collaborate with Operations and Production to resolve constraints and keep manufacturing on track
  • Monitor schedules, track performance, and proactively mitigate delivery risks
  • Identify end-of-life inventory and manage liability and new product implementations
  • Leverage data from multiple systems to deliver analytics to leadership
  • Provide guidance and training on planning analytics and Oracle ASCP
  • Act as escalation point within Planning and drive cross-functional solutions
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards and follow Safety/ISO procedures
Key requirements
  • 10+ years in global production/manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Expertise in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and planning signals
  • Strong understanding of supply chain concepts
  • APICS certification would be a plus
  • Proficiency with Oracle EBS, including ASCP
  • Experience training others on manufacturing and Office applications
  • Prior experience in an Agile environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to relocate or commute to Rochester, NH; US citizen or permanent resident
