Overview In this Senior Architect role, you help lead civic, infrastructure, and transit design projects within a multidisciplinary Stantec team. You will guide complex projects from proposal through delivery, ensuring budget, schedule, and design intent align with client goals. You'll mentor staff, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and build strong client relationships to win and execute award-winning, highly sustainable designs. This position offers a chance to shape impactful civic facilities while working with leaders across the firm to advance sustainable urban design. You will leverage your expertise to drive integrated design solutions at scale and influence project outcomes.

Responsibilities- Manage complex, multi-scope projects across varying scales
- Lead and participate in interviews to win work
- Plan and direct project lifecycle from positioning to delivery
- Ensure design aligns with budget, schedule, and program
- Negotiate project agreements with Stantec leadership
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and work plans
- Cultivate client relationships and provide strategic input to leadership
- Mentor multidisciplinary staff and motivate project teams
- Coordinate project meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Track change orders and contractual modifications affecting budget/schedule
- Assist in staffing decisions with Operations Manager
- Direct client invoicing and manage collections
Key requirements- Extensive project experience with ability to win work during proposals
- Proven relationships with Northern California area, state, county and/or municipal agencies
- Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, materials, and industry standards
- Proactive, self-directed action-taking
- Strong time and priority management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience with project software: Revit, Bluebeam, MS Project
- Understanding of building architectural and engineering system concepts
- Experience with design/build delivery and LEAN design practices preferred
- Knowledge of federal/local standards and ability to teach others
