Overview

In this role you will lead HR across multiple manufacturing sites, shaping culture, strengthening the talent pipeline, and partnering with site leaders to deliver business results. You will influence strategy while executing with rigor, driving talent development, engagement, and continuous improvement. This position offers visibility across Holden, MA and neighboring sites, contributing to Avient's growth and sustainable mission. You will help build a high-accountability, inclusive work environment that accelerates organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders and Senior HR Manager to align HR strategies with business goals
  • Lead HR execution across multiple manufacturing locations (Holden, MA; Lewiston, ME; Bethel, CT; others)
  • Drive talent strategies: workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, development
  • Support recruiting and retention to attract, develop, and retain talent
  • Lead employee relations, performance management, and development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and ethical standards
  • Utilize HR metrics (turnover, engagement, performance) to guide decisions and drive continuous improvement
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and high-accountability work environment
  • Serve as trusted advisor to leaders on complex people and organizational decisions
  • Lead and support change initiatives to strengthen organizational effectiveness
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in HR, Business, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and performance management
  • Ability to influence leaders and operate strategically while executing tactically
  • Business acumen with a track record of aligning HR priorities to operational and financial outcomes
  • Experience using HR data and metrics to drive decisions
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP) a plus
