Overview In this role, you will shape network service architectures that align with established standards while judiciously proposing deviations when warranted. You'll translate application needs into scalable network designs and serve as the main liaison for application teams. You'll lead architectural discussions across Cloud, Security, Platform, and Application teams and mentor network engineers. This position offers impact across routing, switching, load balancing, and security domains within a global IT provider. You will help drive standardized, reusable network capabilities and contribute to the company's reputation for quality and collaboration.
Responsibilities- Assess project requirements for alignment with standards and determine when to modify them
- Serve as primary liaison for application teams requesting network services
- Translate application requirements into network design considerations
- Guide teams to use standard, reusable network capabilities
- Produce high-level and detailed network solution designs
- Review designs for compliance, readiness, and standards adherence
- Collaborate across Cloud, Security, Platform, and Application Architecture teams
- Provide architectural leadership and mentorship across network engineering
Key requirements- 7-10 years experience in network engineering or architecture
- Broad expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, proxies, DNS/DDI
- Strong understanding of modern application architectures and connectivity flows
- Ability to translate application needs into scalable network solutions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to face off with developers
