Overview In this role you will advise multinational clients on international tax implications and optimal compliance approaches, shaping planning and reporting strategies. You will lead international tax projects, coordinate with global teams and advisors, and communicate complex issues in plain language. You will assess filing obligations, review returns, and guide the execution of international tax compliance while developing junior staff. This position offers exposure to high-impact cross-border tax work within a collaborative, growth-focused firm. You will contribute to client outcomes and firm-wide knowledge through training, business development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities- Develop ideas, structures, and transactions with a focus on international matters for clients and internal teams
- Interpret tax laws and client facts to maximize benefits and determine additional needed resources
- Coordinate with foreign BDO offices and ensure timely completion of international tax compliance/reporting
- Manage client expectations and maintain workplans for tax consulting projects
- Assess financial reporting and cash tax impacts of engagements and apply transfer pricing concepts
- Specialize in one or more international tax areas and train colleagues in that area
- Perform research, outline issues, analyze findings, and prepare written tax advice (WTA)
- Assist in managing engagements, reviewing international aspects of U.S. tax reporting, and addressing filing requirements
- Represent clients in tax controversy before the IRS when appropriate
- Train others on ASC 740-related international tax aspects and supervise staff on engagements
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree (required); focus in Accounting or related business field preferred
- Four (4) or more years of experience in corporate tax, international tax, or equivalent
- CPA, Attorney (U.S. admitted), or Enrolled Agent (or equivalent) required
- Experience supervising tax professionals on project or engagement basis (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with RIA/LexisNexis/Westlaw preferred
