Overview In this role you will design, deploy, and administer SolarWinds monitoring across the organization to ensure proactive visibility of IT infrastructure. You will customize dashboards, alerts, and reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet monitoring requirements. You'll analyze SolarWinds data to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements, while maintaining documentation and incident response procedures. This is a hands-on, on-site position with potential after-hours support and travel. You'll work in a mission-driven environment delivering reliable, scalable monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities- Design, deploy, configure, and administer SolarWinds monitoring tools
- Customize dashboards, alerts, and reports to meet monitoring requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define monitoring needs for network, servers, and applications
- Implement and manage SolarWinds monitoring solutions for proactive issue identification
- Analyze SolarWinds data to identify performance bottlenecks and improvements
- Work with IT teams to optimize system performance
- Respond to alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate resolutions
- Develop and maintain SolarWinds incident response procedures
- Create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices
- Develop and optimize dashboards for real-time visibility into network and application health
- Configure and maintain monitoring templates, alerts, and reporting
- Review and update STIG requirements and remediate findings
- Provide SolarWinds training and broader monitoring principles
- Provide SQL database configuration, support, and consultation
- Occasional after-hours on-call and travel as needed
Key requirements- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance (current)
- DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification at IAT Level II - CompTIA Security+ CE
- SolarWinds Fundamentals: 4+ years in administration and hands-on with multiple modules
- Strong understanding of networks, protocols, and system architecture (NetFlow, SNMP, Packet Analysis)
- Scripting proficiency (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
