Overview

In this role you ensure the accuracy of financial records and lead month-end close activities while supporting adherence to accounting standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile accounts, analyze variances, and prepare compliant financial statements. You'll contribute to internal controls, process improvements, and ad hoc analyses to inform decision-making and business initiatives. The position includes supporting audits and working with departments to share timely financial information, with opportunities to apply AI tools. You will help drive reliable reporting and fiscal discipline in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead or assist month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliation
  • Prepare financial statements and reports per accounting principles and regulations
  • Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
  • Analyze variances against budget/forecast and explain discrepancies
  • Support external and internal audits with documentation and explanations
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance
  • Identify and implement process improvements in accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and finance to ensure timely financial information exchange
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and projects to support management decisions
Key requirements
  • 4+ years accounting experience including monthly close, transaction processing, cash management, and financial record-keeping
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Ability to manage general ledger accounts and record transactions accurately
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication skills for reporting to management and auditors
  • Understanding of US GAAP and non-GAAP standards
  • AI literacy and understanding of generative AI tools in business applications
  • CPA certification required
