Overview

In this role you will support a Savannah River Site engagement as a Field Procurement Engineer, ensuring effective procurement for environmental and safety-related systems. You will collaborate with SRR divisions to translate requirements into technical and quality specs, guiding the acquisition of goods and services. The position blends procurement processes with compliance and site procedures, delivering thorough, well-documented work. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of energy/environmental management and federal contracting, offering growth and impact in a high-stakes setting.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary interface with SRS Divisions for all procurement needs
  • Assist in developing technical and quality requirements for parts and materials
  • Interpret federal and site procedures to guide procurement decisions
  • Support procurement using SRR processes and procedures
  • Perform walk-downs and interface with field personnel and systems
  • Meet milestones and delivery schedules across projects
  • Coordinate with engagement team on T&M requirements
  • Support compliance with security and ethical standards
Key requirements
  • Consecutive relevant experience within past five years
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools
  • Bachelor's degree or substitution with extensive procurement experience
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to perform field walk-downs and interface with personnel and systems
  • U.S. Citizenship; security clearance readiness potential; compliance with e-Verify and facility access requirements
  • Travel as needed (occasional)
  • Experience in Energy Industry (Oil & Gas / Power & Utilities / Nuclear) preferred
