Overview In this in-person role based in New York City, you will handle high-volume business affairs work for a leading entertainment company. You'll draft, analyze and negotiate commercial agreements across production, marketing and distribution, while supporting multiple practice areas within the legal team. You'll advise on contract, copyright, technology and regulatory matters, and help manage complex deals with rights holders and third parties. You'll work closely with internal clients and senior in-house counsel to enable creative, efficient product development.

Responsibilities- Draft, analyze and negotiate commercial agreements for entertainment content creation, production, marketing and distribution
- Support senior attorneys across practice groups including music, entertainment, sports, technology, advertising, and gaming (console, online, mobile)
- Structure and analyze deals involving rights held by third parties (distributors, hardware manufacturers, leagues, labels, publishers, talent, licensors, vendors)
- Advise internal clients on contract issues, copyright, technology, corporate, regulatory matters
- Provide day-to-day legal and business affairs counsel to creative business units
- Assess risks in a fast-paced environment for complex issues
- Contribute to publishing labels to create innovative products efficiently
Key requirements- 3-5+ years experience in-house or at a law firm
- Expertise in contracting with strong drafting skills
- Experience with complex corporate or IP transactions (content creation, production, clearance, marketing, distribution)
- Experience with entertainment or technology matters, or strong corporate background with interest in transition to entertainment/tech
- Ability to evaluate and advise on complex agreements and contractual issues
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Enthusiasm for the videogame industry
