Overview In this role you will oversee all accounting activities for our after-market parts business, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely, accurate financial reporting. You will analyze data to guide business decisions and drive improvements in processes and cost management. Collaborating with Operations, you'll support budgeting, forecasting, and interdepartmental reporting. The role offers impact through efficiency gains and stronger financial controls in a growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting activities for the after-market parts business
- Prepare account reconciliations and month-end close including journal entries and intercompany accounting
- Develop cost accounting processes and reports
- Collaborate with Operations to improve demand planning, inventory management and manufacturing processes to reduce costs
- Lead revenue/cost recognition for project accounting
- Coordinate with corporate accounting and external auditors on accounting issues
- Manage semi-annual physical inventory counts and related accounting processes
- Provide timely reports on current and anticipated state of the business
- Assist in annual budget preparation and monthly forecast updates
- Identify process improvements and drive changes across accounting functions
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
- 3-5 years related accounting experience
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle (preferred)
- Experience with Sage (preferred)
- Experience using AI to improve accounting & reporting processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Results- and deadline-oriented with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
