Overview You join Little Flower to support youth in securing permanent, legally recognized placements through Wendy's Wonderful Kids. In this role, you'll partner with agency staff to identify youth for adoption, build recruitment and matching plans, and support families through transitions. You will work across the WWK framework to engage youth, families, and resources, driving child-focused permanency outcomes. Responsibilities- Identify youth for referrals to the WWK program in collaboration with agency staff
- Review case records and interview youth, caseworkers, and relevant contacts to inform recruitment
- Utilize internet resources to map a youth's network and potential permanency resources
- Develop initial adoption readiness assessments and child-focused recruitment plans
- Meet youth monthly and maintain ongoing communication with caseworkers and families
- Engage families and supportive connections to discuss progression toward permanency
- Coordinate pre-placement visits and transition planning with youth and adoptive resources
- Support finalization processes with the adoptive family and caseworker
- Participate in Dave Thomas Foundation trainings and WWK activities; submit data to the WWK database
Key requirements- Experience in child welfare or related field; knowledge of foster care, adoption, trauma, and permanency
- Bachelor's degree; two years post-graduate direct experience recommended; MSW preferred
- Strong customer service and family-support orientation
- Willingness to travel and flexible availability including evenings and occasional weekends
- Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office; experience with WWK database preferred
- Commitment to strength-based and youth development approaches
- Ability to build relationships with diverse populations and with public agency staff
