Overview In this role you will serve as the project-focused Contract Manager, bringing licensed legal expertise to Barnard's highly technical civil projects. You will collaborate with project teams to manage contracts, navigate changes, and resolve disputes, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements. Your work supports on-site teams and management to minimize risk and keep projects on track. This position offers exposure to large-scale construction initiatives and the opportunity to influence contract strategy across projects. Responsibilities- Contract review and oversight for projects
- Contract changes negotiation and drafting support
- Address federal and state OSHA matters related to contracts
- Collaborate with project teams on contract issues
- Coordinate with management and field personnel on legal matters
- Dispute resolution including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation
- Liaise with outside counsel and experts to support contract needs
Key requirements- Licensed attorney
- Knowledge of construction and insurance coverage law
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- Familiar with contract negotiation and drafting
- Experience with federal contracting law
