Overview In this role you support the plant's financial objectives by delivering accurate forecasts, budgets, and analyses. You work closely with the Plant Finance Manager and operations leadership to ensure cost control, asset and liability accuracy, and compliant reporting. You'll drive month-end close, SOX controls, and inventory stewardship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where your impact helps sustain plant profitability and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly forecasts, weekly flashes, and the annual operating plan (budget)
- Produce internal and external accounting reports with variance analyses
- Execute month-end journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Maintain SOX compliance and control documentation; manage annual testing
- Oversee CIP and Fixed Asset inventories; coordinate physical counts and capital requests
- Maintain standard costs, conduct inventory counts, and support cost accounting tasks
- Approve and process payments (joint ventures, wire, intercompany), and handle AP/AR issues
- Provide backup for invoicing and AP activities
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting
- Minimum 3 years general accounting experience
- 5+ years accounting in manufacturing (automotive or engine preferred)
- SAP experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency
