Overview

In this role, you lead land development infrastructure projects from concept to delivery, shaping South Florida communities. You'll balance technical design with client interaction and project leadership, working on a diverse mix of residential, commercial, and municipal developments. You'll coordinate permitting, design, and construction activities with a cross-functional team, driving projects to on-time completion while upholding high technical standards. This position offers ownership, visible impact, and growth within an established firm.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of land development infrastructure projects
  • Design stormwater management, drainage, roadway, potable water, and sanitary sewer systems
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, construction plans, and technical specifications
  • Coordinate permitting activities with local, county, and state regulatory agencies
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and construction cost estimates
  • Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications
  • Collaborate with surveyors, planners, architects, CAD designers, and other engineering disciplines
  • Serve as a technical resource and point of contact for clients throughout project execution
  • Support construction administration, inspections, permit closeouts, and certifications
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining the highest technical standards
Key requirements
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development
  • Strong knowledge of site development, grading, utilities, drainage, and infrastructure design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience preparing engineering plans and permitting packages
