Overview

In this role you will help develop and scale up LNP formulations for nucleic acid delivery, supporting process optimization and formulation design. You will work within cross-functional teams to advance LNP platform capabilities and enable scalable, robust delivery systems. You will explore design improvements for LNPs encapsulating modified DNA and cofactor mRNA, contributing to early-stage R&D and technology transfer efforts. This is a hands-on position that combines process development with formulation experimentation in a fast-moving biomedicine setting. You will join a collaborative, science-driven team focused on advancing gene therapy technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Support process development and optimization for LNP formulation and scale-up, focusing on mixing, encapsulation efficiency, and reproducibility
  • Plan and execute experiments to improve performance and manufacturability of LNPs with modified DNA and mRNA
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams for LNP formulation characterization and evaluation
  • Assist with technology transfer and scale-up activities, coordinating with external partners or internal manufacturing
  • Analyze data, maintain documentation, and share findings with project teams
  • Keep up-to-date with advances in LNP technologies and nucleic acid delivery approaches
Key requirements
  • PhD in a related field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience; or MS with 8+ years; or Bachelor with 10+ years
  • Strong background in process development, scale-up, or manufacturing of nanoparticle or LNP-based systems
  • Experience with nucleic acid formulations (mRNA, DNA) preferred
  • Familiarity with T mixing, or similar formulation scale-up, and characterization techniques (e.g., DLS, encapsulation assays)
  • Proven ability to design experiments, analyze data, and solve complex technical problems
