Senior Development Project Manager (Data Center Construction)

Overview

In this role you lead design, preconstruction, and construction activities for data center projects, coordinating with facilities, design, and operations teams. You manage budgets, schedules, and program updates for executive reviews, and develop campus master plans and development programs. You drive entitlement, permitting, procurement, and cost control while shaping delivery across multi-phase site development. You will collaborate across stakeholders to ensure timely, within-budget, high-quality project outcomes and help advance QTS's position as a global data center leader.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple campus-wide projects with budgets, schedules, and status reporting
  • Prepare and present development program updates for executive reviews
  • Create master development programs and campus design solutions with capital budgets
  • Manage entitlements and permitting for sites
  • Develop multi-phase site development plans and update the campus master plan
  • Write scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning services
  • Evaluate pricing proposals and coordinate with procurement for equipment
  • Monitor budgets, cost-to-date, and change orders; approve pay applications
  • Establish site construction security procedures and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Engage with Sales Engineers and Product teams for custom deal solutions
  • Represent QTS in OAC meetings and aid due diligence for new sites
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Science
  • Five or more years in commercial construction with delivery methods (Lump Sum, Design Build)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint for updates, Excel for budgets)
