Overview As a Senior Technologist at Labcorp in Burlington, you will oversee key testing workflows and instrument performance to support accurate patient results. You will apply chemical or biological expertise to routine and complex analyses, troubleshoot systems, and maintain quality controls. Responsibilities- Assess specimen suitability for testing according to criteria
- Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instruments
- Make technical decisions on testing and problem solving
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report timely test results to support patient care
- Conduct preventative maintenance and quality control
- Replenish testing bench supplies as needed
- Assist with specimen processing when required
- Maintain a safe work environment and PPE compliance
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
- 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Understanding of laboratory operations and policies
- Experience in high-volume laboratory settings
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Attention to detail and strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Physical ability to perform job duties and pass color blindness test
