Overview

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will lead impartial investigations into workplace issues, guiding resolution and policy interpretation. You'll partner with People Partners and leadership to promote fair, compliant practices and a positive employee experience. The role emphasizes confidentiality, legal compliance, and continuous process improvement within a fast-growing hospitality company. This is a pivotal position to shape a respectful work environment and scalable employee relations practices.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct impartial investigations into harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations, workplace conduct concerns, theft, and related complaints
  • Manage investigations from intake to resolution, including planning, interviews, documentation review, analysis, and reporting
  • Advise managers and leaders on employee relations issues, policy interpretation, performance concerns, and workplace matters
  • Ensure consistent application of policies and employment practices to support fairness and compliance
  • Maintain thorough, confidential investigation records and ensure documentation meets standards
  • Identify trends from cases and provide insights to improve workplace practices and policies
  • Maintain discretion, neutrality, confidentiality, and employee privacy in investigations
  • Stay updated on employment laws and best practices to support effective investigations
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of ER processes, tools, and resources
Key requirements
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in employee relations investigations
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, investigation methodologies, and employment laws
  • Experience handling sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Knowledge of EEO, harassment prevention, workplace conduct, FMLA, ADA, and related practices
  • Strong interviewing, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations and priorities with attention to detail
  • Relationship-building across all levels
  • Collaborative influence and flexibility
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Familiarity with federal and multi-state compliance obligations
  • Investigation methodologies and documentation practices
  • HR policies, performance management, and corrective action processes
