Overview In this role you will conduct risk assessments and loss control activities for Starr Tech clients, shaping risk mitigation and supporting underwriting. You work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate projects and produce insightful reports that inform insureds and insurers. You'll travel regularly to perform on-site surveys and risk evaluations, contributing to our growth and client relationships. Responsibilities- Perform on-site surveys and risk evaluations for Starr Tech clients, gathering technical data and best practices
- Attend client meetings and compile both internal and external risk reports
- Travel up to 35% (hybrid arrangement) and manage own schedule under supervision of the North American Construction Property Manager
- Conduct risk assessments across projects of varying risk classifications (buildings, civil infrastructure, energy, chemical, petrochemical, process industries)
- Produce narrative loss control reports for underwriting and external clients
- Conduct plan reviews and advise underwriting staff on risk quality and insurability
- Maintain up-to-date ELCS loss control data
Key requirements- College graduate with strong communication and relationship skills
- Preferred engineering background: Civil, Construction, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Engineering degree from an accredited program is desirable; relevant industry experience considered
