Overview In this role, you will support a large, collaborative real estate practice within a prestigious AmLaw 100 law firm. You will help structure, draft, and close complex real estate transactions for lenders and borrowers, across financing, acquisitions, development, and joint ventures. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, business-focused guidance and build strong client relationships in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities- Support senior attorneys in structuring, drafting, and negotiating real estate transactions (financing, acquisition, development, joint ventures)
- Conduct due diligence and coordinate closing processes for complex deals
- Prepare and review transactional documents (loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, joint venture agreements)
- Advise clients on real estate and financing matters with practical guidance
- Collaborate with corporate and tax practice groups to deliver comprehensive real estate solutions
- Develop strong client and internal stakeholder relationships through responsiveness and high-quality work
Key requirements- 3-7 years of substantive real estate transactional experience
- Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in real estate financings, acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, and joint ventures
- Experience negotiating, documenting, and closing mortgage, mezzanine, and other secured lending transactions
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
