Overview In this role you support university research initiatives by applying standard scientific methods, analyzing data, and guiding junior staff. You will contribute to interpretation of results, maintain thorough records, and present findings in meetings and at conferences. You'll independently conduct literature reviews and may help secure training grants as PI. This position sits within a research-focused lab environment that values collaboration and scientific rigor.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and apply standard scientific techniques with judicious adaptation when needed
- Contribute to data analysis and interpretation of projects
- Maintain and organize records of tests and collected data; compile and tabulate results
- Discuss results with lab staff and refine procedures based on feedback
- Present research and journal articles in weekly meetings and at conferences
- Conduct literature searches independently under PI guidance
- Mentor and guide junior research staff in experimental methodologies
- May submit training grants as Principal Investigator
- Perform related duties as required
Key requirements- PhD, MD or DO in biological sciences, chemistry or related field
- experience with animal models, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques
