Overview As a Medical Science Liaison, you will build and sustain relationships with national and regional healthcare leaders to provide scientific support for DSI initiatives. You will educate healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders on therapeutic areas and products, aligning with Medical Affairs and Brand strategies. This field-based role covers Upstate NY, VT, NH, ME, MA, CT and RI, driving scientific exchange and clinical research visibility. You'll shape medical information delivery and support investigator-initiated studies and advisory boards to advance patient care.
Responsibilities- Present disease state and product data to healthcare professionals
- Respond to unsolicited medical information requests
- Identify and facilitate engagement of investigators for clinical research programs, investigator-initiated studies, brand speaker programs, and advisory boards
- Gather customer insights to inform medical and commercial decision-making
- Attend scientific meetings for continuing education and exchange with key opinion leaders
- Build relationships with local and regional internal stakeholders to support HCP relationships
- Implement field strategy in alignment with Medical and Brand strategies
- Complete administrative duties including expense and field activity reporting
- Represent the MSL function at DSI meetings, events, and functions
- Lead special projects and initiatives and mentor team members
- Represent FMA leadership at meetings and events
Key requirements- 1+ years in medical/scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, or US-managed markets preferred
- Previous oncology, clinical research, and medical education experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 60%
