Design Coordinator - Healthcare

Overview

In this role you will support all project phases for Acute and Non-Acute Healthcare projects, from validation through close-out. You will work with a PM/Project Architect and cross-functional teams to guide design, documentation, and construction administration. You lead design critiques, mentor others, and ensure design intent meets budget, schedule, and client requirements. You will leverage BIM and visualization tools to communicate concepts and drive design excellence. This position offers impact through healthcare environments and sustainable design within a collaborative, multidisciplinary studio.

Responsibilities
  • Lead medium-sized projects and collaborate with project teams
  • Inspire creativity and design excellence in internal and external stakeholders
  • Conceptualize building design to meet client requirements, budget, and program
  • Develop design via sketches, models, diagrams, and massing studies
  • Utilize BIM to develop 3D building models
  • Present design and technical information to stakeholders with the Project Manager
  • Develop design considering cost parameters
  • Evaluate building systems and materials and ensure coordination with design intent
  • Incorporate sustainable design principles
  • Analyze site conditions and context
  • Maintain design intent through documentation and construction
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and prepare site observation reports

  • Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, and program requirements
