Overview

In this role you will support a prestigious AmLaw 100 global law firm's New York Real Estate Practice by handling sophisticated, high-value real estate transactions. You will collaborate with over 80 real estate attorneys to structure, negotiate, and close deals for lenders and borrowers, across financing, acquisitions, development, leasing, and joint ventures. Responsibilities
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate real estate transactions including financing, acquisitions, development, and joint ventures
  • Perform due diligence and coordinate closing processes for complex deals
  • Draft and review loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and joint venture agreements
  • Advise clients on real estate and financing matters with practical, business-oriented guidance
  • Collaborate with corporate and tax teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through responsive, high-quality work
Key requirements
  • JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
  • Active New York Bar in good standing
  • 3-7 years of substantive real estate transactional experience
  • Experience representing lenders and/or borrowers in real estate financings, acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, and joint ventures
  • Experience negotiating, documenting, and closing mortgage, mezzanine, and other secured lending transactions
  • Prior experience at a large law firm or sophisticated real estate practice preferred
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
