Overview As part of Amazon's Stores and Operations Legal team, you provide strategic counsel on workplace health and safety regulatory matters across North America. You will guide senior leaders on compliance with OSHA and related regulations and represent Amazon with regulatory agencies. This high-visibility role focuses on shaping safety policy, incident response, and regulatory strategy to protect employees and service providers. You'll work closely with operations, safety, and HR to drive lawful, practical safety programs with real business impact.

Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day legal counsel to operations, health and safety, and human resources on workplace safety regulatory compliance
- Lead legal response to critical workplace incidents and escalations (serious injuries and fatalities)
- Represent Amazon with regulatory agencies (OSHA inspections, investigations, citation resolution)
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training materials aligned with current regulations
- Advise business leaders on legal implications of safety initiatives and operational decisions
- Monitor regulatory changes across jurisdictions and advise on necessary business adaptations
- Cultivate productive relationships with federal and state regulatory agencies
Key requirements- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- 5+ years of post-bar legal experience
