Project Manager II- Mechanical Construction

As Construction Project Manager II, you will lead medium-to-large HVAC and plumbing builds, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery with quality and safety at the forefront. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients from pre-construction through closeout, maintaining cost control and contract compliance. This role offers exposure to diverse projects across Ohio with national travel, shaping high-impact facilities. You drive results by aligning scope, schedule, and quality with the company mission.

• Manage day-to-day execution of HVAC and plumbing scopes, ensuring alignment with plans, codes, and quality standards
• Prepare and oversee contract documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders for compliance
• Initiate and manage RFIs, change orders, and field clarifications to minimize schedule and cost impacts
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and vendors, monitor performance, and resolve disputes to protect schedule and quality
• Conduct site walkthroughs and inspections, document findings, and drive corrective actions
• Develop and maintain project schedules with short-interval planning and cross-trades coordination
• Manage cost control: budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and monthly job-cost reports
• Lead project closeout: punch lists, commissioning support, record docs, warranties, turnover
• Maintain vendor relations and procure long-lead equipment; review submittals for compliance
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal teams; provide status reports and participate in meetings
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance across the project site

• 3+ years of PM experience in mechanical construction with HVAC and plumbing expertise
• Experience with RFIs, contract docs, change orders, and closeout procedures
• Vendor and subcontractor management with negotiation and oversight
• Site walkthroughs and inspections with corrective action coordination
• Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and job-cost reporting
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency with project management/construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera)
